Here are our top tips:
Travel to one of the 15 renowned European cycle routes and fall in love with the continent all over again. The 15 routes vary in length and difficulty but a truly amazing experience is guaranteed. Follow Route 6, for example, through 10 countries, 4 UNESCO cities and 6 European rivers. Start off in France in Nantes or Nevers, or If you don’t fancy cycling the whole route, you can get a FlixBus to a major city along the way. Travel to Ulm, Ingolstadt, Regensburg or even all the way to Passau and continue along the Danube towards Vienna. There’s a route for everyone!
Take a bus to the European capital of cycling! Amsterdam has over 500 km of cycle paths and 10,000 bikes. Venture outside the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy a leisurely bike ride through Vondelpark or the Zuid district. Perhaps you could head to the capital of West Flanders in Belgium. The town of Bruges is famous for its WW1 cycle routes, but is also home to a very popular 29km route along the canal. Venice is also a perfect destination for a family cycling holiday, as there are many 5km routes ideal for children. Discover the beautiful towns on the outskirts of Venice!
For the more adventurous of our bus passengers, bringing your MTB on board is also possible! Many winter ski destinations are totally transformed during the summer months, to cater for those looking for a proper mountain biking holiday or just a quick weekend break. Oberstdorf for example, is a scenic oasis nestled in the Allgäu Mountains, that provides bikers with many beautiful and challenging paths. Garmisch-Partenkirchen is also another hidden gem worth discovering. The French and the Swiss Alps are also very popular amongst our bus passengers.
