One of the founders of the festival, Russel Faibisch, was on Depeche Mode tour in 1993, and they have decided to call the festival after Depeche Mode's album, Ultra. Since then, this festival, which takes place in Croatia, became widely known as a synonym for house music, visual effects, after parties, beaches that take your breath away and of course, the most popular and strongest names from world house scene.
