Until when can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel your booking up to 15 minutes before your departure time.

Am I charged a fee for canceling?

If you cancel your trip up to 30 days before your departure date, it is free. After that, we might charge a cancellation fee. After canceling your booking, a voucher will be generated. The voucher is valid for 12 months and is worth the price of your booking minus a cancellation fee, if applicable.

Cancelation due to Covid-19 operational changes: If your ride is affected by a cancelation due to Covid-19, we will reimburse your canceled trip and provide you with a full refund of the ticket price in the form of a voucher as per our Terms & Conditions.
Information about how to cancel/change your booking

Change

You can change the following information in your booking:

  • Time or destination of your trip*
  • Passenger name
  • Phone number

*If you would like to change the departure time or destination, you must first cancel the part of the trip you wish to change. After which, you will receive a voucher in the amount of the ticket’s value minus any applicable cancellation fees. You may then use this voucher to book a new trip (by using the voucher number into the voucher field and clicking "Redeem"). The voucher is valid for 12 months.

You can make changes up to 15 minutes before your departure time.

Is there a fee for changing my booking?

For changes of your contact information, there is no fee. Changing the name of the passenger is also free, but if the ticket price has risen since your booking, you will be charged the price difference.

For changes to the departure time or trip destination, the rules of a cancellation would apply. If you change your trip less than 30 days prior to departure, a cancellation fee is deducted from the voucher value.

Where can I cancel or change my booking?

Can I change or cancel my booking myself?

Of course! You can edit your booking here. You will receive a new booking confirmation by e-mail after every time a change has been confirmed. You can change the following elements of your booking:

Phone number: Change is free of charge.

Passenger name: Change is free of charge.

If at the time of the change your trip is more expensive than at the time of the booking, you pay the difference between the prices. You can cancel the entire booking, or just a part of your journey. The fees for this are displayed during the cancellation procedure. When you have selected your desired journey, it is important to then confirm your selection. In the final step, enter your e-mail address and you will receive your voucher. Fees per journey and per passenger apply when cancelling. The fee depends on the date of your original booking and how many days before your trip you cancel your booking. You can find all the fees here.

Can I cancel my ticket in the FlixBus App?

You can cancel your ticket in the FlixBus App, and here’s how to do it:

  • Launch the FlixBus App and go to "My tickets" in the menu bar
  • Select "Upcoming (trips)
  • Click on the trip you would like to edit
  • Select "Change"
  • Simply go to the trip in your FlixBus App and follow the instructions

What should I do if I accidentally make a mistake when booking?

If you notice that you made a mistake in your booking, you can make changes to the booking for free up to 60 minutes after completing the booking. This rule does not include trips that have already been changed.

I can’t log in on the cancellation page, what should I do?

Check your spelling in the log-in field. Your booking number should be entered without the ‘#’ and your e-mail address or your name should be spelled exactly as they were spelled in your booking.

How do I cancel my ticket for a delayed bus?

If your bus is delayed by 120 minutes or more, please contact our Customer Service for further assistance.

I have been automatically booked for another trip and I can’t cancel it. What can I do?
