Lady Godiva Statue, Broadgate sits at the heart of the city centre and anchors Coventry's most famous legend, the 11th-century noblewoman said to have ridden naked through the city to protest her husband's taxation of its people. The bronze statue, unveiled in 1949, is a natural meeting point and a good place to get your bearings before exploring further. Keep an eye out for the mechanical clock nearby, where a figure of Peeping Tom appears on the hour.

Lady Herbert's Garden & City Walls offers a green pause in the middle of a city walk. The garden was laid out in the 1930s along a surviving stretch of the medieval city walls, and the combination of old stonework, mature planting, and quiet paths makes it a genuinely pleasant place to slow down. It's named after the wife of a former mayor who campaigned for its creation.

Belgrade Theatre has been staging productions in Coventry since 1958, making it one of the first purpose-built civic theatres in post-war Britain. It has a strong reputation for new writing and community-rooted work, and its programme ranges from large-scale musicals to experimental studio pieces.
