Chandrashekhar Azad Park is a large, well-maintained green space in the centre of the city, named after the revolutionary freedom fighter who died here in 1931 rather than surrender to British forces. A memorial marks the spot near the Alfred Park tree where he made his last stand. The park is a favourite among locals for morning walks, and the Allahabad Museum sits within its grounds, making it easy to combine both in one visit.

Khusro Bagh is a walled Mughal garden containing the sandstone tombs of Prince Khusro, the rebellious son of Emperor Jahangir, along with those of his mother and sister. The garden is rarely crowded, the architecture is detailed and well-preserved, and the contrast between the ornate tomb interiors and the quiet, tree-lined paths outside is genuinely striking.
