Whether you are travelling with friends or family, there is a lot of activities to do and lots of sights to see in Vejle. From incredibly amazing miniature models at LEGOLAND to real life beasts at Givskud Zoo, you will surely find something to keep the kids (of all ages) entertained on your trip. If you are more interested in a relaxing holiday, you must spend a day in one of the many spas and wellness centres. Enjoy a mud mask and a massage followed by gorgeous food and a drink or two. These services are a speciality of many local hotels. Or if you would prefer a more action-packed holiday there are many options available: bike riding, golfing, angling, beaches and rowboat/canoe rental options! Or try your hand at climbing in Gorilla Park Vejle! Whatever type of holiday you want, you’ll find it on your bus travels to Vejle.

Culture and History of Vejle

The history of Vejle is well documented in many of the local museums and heritage sights. Spread all around the city and surrounding countryside are churches, castles and large manor estates. The oldest building in the city is the St. Nicolai Church and it was built originally in the 13th Century. There is one old merchant house left in the city called Den Smidtske Gård. While some rooms have been maintained in their original style, much of the house has been transformed into an old-school café and wine bar. We definitely recommend visiting this place for an authentic feel to Vejle’s old culture. A must-see for any history fanatic is the Vingsted Jernaldermiljø, which is a reconstruction of the local iron age settlement. Be sure to plan ahead and check the opening times of the sites and museums, because they are sights you do not want to miss in Vejle.

Nightlife in Vejle

There is a fantastic nightlife in Vejla. Simply going to the Vejla music theatre for a performance or deciding to go to the casino in the town is a wonderful way to spend your evening. Although if you are looking for more of a bar or club scene, we have the places to be! An older crowd usually head to 80’eren for their weekly supply of all the classic hits. Or if you are more into the younger clubs, Temabar is the only name you need to know. Those who go out to socialise rather than dance the night away should head to Heidi’s Bier Bar or Tartan Pub. Both are very popular with locals and guarantee you a great night! Whatever you choose to do, don’t worry about getting home too early. Enjoy your night and you can rest on your FlixBus home the next day!
