The Marienberg Fortress lies on the left bank of the Main River in Wuerzburg. Some parts of the Fortress are more than 1,200 years old. You can see these by walking on the bridge which is in an impressively well kept condition. The Fortress is not just for history enthusiasts, but it is often one of the main reasons why those interested in natural history will visit Wuerzburg. In addition to the two museums that can be found inside the fortress, there is also a beautiful green area surrounding the Fortress that our bus travelers can enjoy.
